Loewen is excited to announce the launch of exterior Bi-Fold Doors, an expansive addition to our selection of Douglas Fir and Mahogany fenestration products, at the International Builders’ Show 2006 (Exhibit W1321).

“Loewen Bi-Fold Doors provide seamless transitions to outdoor living spaces,” said Jon Sawatzky, M.Arch., an Architectural Consultant with Loewen. “The new design folds to the exterior and stacks at the ends, providing a clear opening to enjoy the whims and winds of your home’s environment. Suitable for year-round use in temperate climates, Loewen Bi-Fold doors address the growing trend of integrating all areas of a home’s footprint to maximize available living space.”

Loewen Bi-Fold Doors are top hung and include a bronze anodized sill with a drainage system. “It is essential that building structure be designed to carry the weight of the Bi-Fold Door panels,” added Sawatzky. Loewen Bi-Fold Doors are available in clad and natural wood exteriors in all standard widths and heights of Loewen Terrace Door panels. Custom sizes are also available. Bi-Fold Doors use standard Loewen Terrace Door multi-point locking hardware and matching handle finishes.

Loewen Bi-Fold Doors will be available to order from Loewen Window Centers and Authorized Loewen Dealers in February 2006.
