Loewen: Discovery 04 Gathers Momentum

Guests, speakers, agenda come together for July 8 & 9 event
The Loewen window and door campus in Steinbach, Manitoba will be the site of the first annual Loewen: Discovery media event later this week. Representatives from major print and broadcast media have been invited to attend a fact-filled, two-day window and door symposium. Focusing on Loewen product, research & development and design philosophy, the symposium will also allow guests and hosts alike the opportunity to increase their general knowledge in the areas of fenestration, design, home construction and architecture.
Two key segments of Discovery 04 will be a presentation by Clyde Loewen (Vice President, Product and Technical Services) that will center on the elements of design and a 1.5-hour round table discussion: "Design and Housing Trends." In addition, Charles Loewen (CEO) will wrap up the event with a closing address.
The gathering attendees include features editors, writers, account managers and publishers from print media as well as two TV program hosts - both certified interior designers - from HGTV's upcoming new show "My Parents' House."

"We have two major goals for this event: professional development and relationship building in a fast-paced, informal atmosphere," states Discovery organizer Lindsay Hildebrandt (Marketing Communications Coordinator).
"During their time with us, our media guests will receive concise, relevant proprietary information on the Loewen brand - our people, processes and product - straight from the executives who are responsible for that area. At the same time, we respect the commitment made by our guests and fully intend to deliver strong generic content that will help them to better understand the world of fenestration, design, residential construction and architecture."
