Japanese Web Site Goes Live

Loewen is proud to announce the launch of a Japanese language web site. The site, based on the contents of the newly translated Product Guide Lite literature is available for use November 15, 2004.

"Japan represents a major market for Loewen and one in which we have a longstanding presence," says Japanese Sales leader, Stephen Segal. "Given the gathering momentum in the Japanese economy and renewed interest in the Loewen luxury product, we are investing aggressively to invigorate our efforts in the region."

Loewen has been active in the Japan market since the early 1990s and is working on a plan to rebuild its profile in the region. A deeply held appreciation for wood craftsmanship has made Loewen a leader in the Japanese market and a return to stronger economic times bodes well for the Loewen brand.
