Loewen celebrates 100 years with Centennial website
March 9th, 2005
Steinbach, MB – Before there was an international luxury window manufacturer named Loewen… Before there was a Loewen Windows or a Loewen Millwork or a C.T. Loewen and Sons… Before there was a place called Steinbach in Manitoba, Canada…
There was a simple, industrious Mennonite family from the settlement of Milk River or Moltschna in Russian Ukraine.
Loewen is pleased to announce the launch of a new website celebrating 100 years of the Loewen family business. Featuring history, photographs, a calendar of Centennial events and a commemorative 10-minute video, the website chronicles the life and times of company founder C.T. Loewen, the entrepreneurial vision of his son Cornie (C.P.) Loewen, who chose to focus on the production of quality wood windows and doors, and successors Charles and Clyde Loewen, current CEO/Board Chairman and Vice President Product & Technical Services, respectively.
The website also lists upcoming Centennial celebrations, including a company picnic and open house in June and a live play to be staged in conjunction with C.T. Loewen Building Centre and the Steinbach Arts Council in October.
