A member of the southeastern Manitoba community for the past 100 years, Loewen is the region’s largest employer, with a staff of 1200 – and growing – at our 587,000 square foot head office and manufacturing facility in Steinbach. We have excellent retention, with 88 employees having 20 to 39! years of service. Our employees take pride in our quality and reputation – both as an international supplier and as a member of the local community – and we expect to draw a crowd of at least 5,000 to our centennial celebration.
Loewen is experiencing remarkable sales and staffing growth and is exploring capacity issues that may see the announcement of a company expansion this fall. Within the past month, we have been featured in the business section of the Winnipeg Free Press (“Loewen turns 100… but growing strong,” B4, May 6, 2005) and the Financial Post section of the National Post (Entrepreneur profile, FP20, June 3, 2005).
For inspired homeowners – and the designers, architects and builders they employ – Loewen is the wood window and door brand that delivers an unrivaled combination of artisanship and innovative, relevant design leadership in an extensive line of Douglas Fir and new Mahogany products.
