This stunning home is organized into three primary forms, which was inspired by the nest of the native Spotted Winged Blackbird. Stone, clapboard, and charred wood define the project’s material palette. A welcoming entry courtyard gives the structure the appearance of having developed over time. The entry sequence is layered with windbreaks and clapboard, and frames views toward the meadow, where the building opens outward.

This beautiful project by MaMo Architects features many Loewen offerings but the standout feature is a two-story Timber Curtain Wall with integrated operable casements.
