Loewen Gallery Re-opens

The Loewen Historic Gallery has re-opened after extensive restoration and improvements to the Front Showroom area. Filled with photos and memorabilia from the past 112 years, the gallery shows Loewen’s journey from its humble beginnings in 1905 producing church pews and beekeeping equipment, through all its milestones and achievements to become the company that it is today.

Photo Gallery Shows Completion of The New American Remodel 2018

The New American Remodel™ 2018  is a project that aimed to transform an 80-year old residence using all new products and building technologies while maintaining some of its original architectural qualities. The renovated home was revealed at the 2018 International Builders’ Show and exclusively uses Loewen windows and doors.

Making up the 2018 Project Team are Farina & Sons (remodeler), Nasrallah Architectural Group, Gribble Interior Group and Redmond Design Company (landscape architecture). The construction photo gallery can be viewed at this link on the project website. The site also offers a 3D Virtual Tour of the home.

The New American Remodeled Home Fitted With Loewen Windows

The 2018 New American Remodel™ is a project that will transform an 80-year old residence using all new products and building technologies, while maintaining some of its original architectural qualities.

Built in 1937 and located just outside of downtown Orlando, FL, the home is now in Phase 2 of the project and Loewen windows have been specified by the builder on account of their high quality and energy efficiency.

110th Anniversary Open House

Back in June 26, Loewen held a celebration of their 110th year Anniversary. With many past Loewen employees and community members in attendance, it was a great time for rediscovering and reconnecting. A special exhibit of photos and memorabilia of the last 110 years was a hit with all attendees. This preview showing of the items that will be included in the Loewen Museum was on display at the open-house, showcasing a rich and proud history. Special guests Mayor of Steinbach Chris Goertzen and local MLA Mr. Kelvin Goertzen addressed the crowd and to thank Loewen for their strong presence and support for the Manitoba and Steinbach community. Mr. Ted Falk, MP for Provencher took time to send congratulations and presentation plaque. The management of Loewen would like to give a special thank you to everyone who came out and for the many volunteer individuals who gave the extra effort to make the event possible.

Loewen Celebrating 110 Years in Business

Loewen, originally a small millwork company, is celebrating its 110th anniversary this year. Loewen has grown over the past century into a widely recognized premium brand in the window and door industry, with a customer base across North America and in international markets. Loewen’s quality crafted windows are known for their strength, performance and architectural distinction. The window and door manufacturer has had deep community roots in Steinbach, Manitoba since 1905.

Loewen will be celebrating 110 years by holding an open-house on Friday June 26th from 2:30 –4:30 p.m. for all current and past employees as well as community members. The open-house will be held in the Loewen Pavilion on the east side of Loewen’s office and manufacturing plant at 77 Highway 52 West, Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada.

In commemorating 110 years of proud heritage, additional events are planned for 2015 including a Loewen museum. A preview showing of the items that will be included in the Loewen museum will be on display at the open-house, which will showcase the Company’s rich and proud history.
